Parking PolicCORPORATE OFFICER RESPONSIBLE:
POLICY: [Your company] will allocate available parking spaces in an equitable manner among all personnel.
ELIGIBILITY: Available parking spaces will be allocated in the following order of priority:
1. COMPANY VEHICLES
Company vehicles are those that are not assigned to individual employees, but rather are used for specific tasks (e.g., delivery van). They also include those fleet vehicles available for all employees to sign out for company business.
2. PESOANLLY ASSIGNED VEHICLES
[Your company] recognizes that:
a) some employees may be required to use personally assigned vehicles or their own vehicles for work purposes
b) their use of such vehicles is often not predictable
3. RIDESHARERS
[Your company] wishes to support those employees who participate in ridesharing. These employees will be eligible for reduced parking rates and priority parking spaces in preferred locations.
[Your company] will dedicate as many of its parking spaces to ridesharers as necessary, as they are available. First priority will be given to vanpools, then four-person carpools, then three-person carpools and a minimum number of two-person carpools.
To qualify for ridesharing space, employees must:
a) be in a carpool of two or more individuals, with at least two of the participants working at the company office (or these two individuals could include a parent with a child registered at the on-site daycare)
b) travel together a minimum of four times per week to or from the company office During employee vacation periods or sickness (not including disability or parental leaves, or extended leaves of absence) the carpool space will be retained when staff members must drive alone.
To register for ridesharing spaces, employees must contact the GGC (who will
